This course will be of interest to workers, new supervisors, joint health and safety committee members, workers health and safety representatives, and business owners or operators who wish to improve health and safety performance in their workplace.
The course consists of four modules:
1. Responsibilities of OH&S 2. Hazard Analysis - Safe Work Procedures 3. Hazard Recognition Workshop 4. One of the following: * Basic WHMIS * Lockout * Fall Protection * Confined Space
Successful completion of the course will enable participants to:
* Explain the legal responsibilities of employers, workers, supervisors, and others * Identify workplace hazards and locate pertinent regulatory requirements * Develop safe work procedures and corrective measures to control hazards * Apply the process of identification, control, and evaluation to eliminate hazards or reduce risks specific to their industry
